Strawberries with cognac

A very popular recipe in Greece

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 kg strawberries
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 3/4 cup cognac
  • 1 vanilla extract

Instructions:

Cut strawberries in small pieces, and add them in a bowl.  Add sugar, vanilla and cognac, mix well taking care not to mash the strawberries.  Cover with a clear film and chill for about 2 hours.

Use as a topping to your yogurt, ice cream, pancakes or waffles.
